“Charlie! Here, kitty!” 


Not this time, Danny. 
I’m not chasing your little red dot.  
Expecting a treat!  Getting nothing but air.  
I pretend I’m asleep. 


“Hey, who spilled my milk?”  


Tail curled over my mouth, I hide my smile.  


“What? My cookies are gone!” 


Purr...
Turnabout is fair play.

HMPH! My big sister gets everything. 
Bigger room.  
Later bedtime. 
Allowance. 
 
She can walk to the store all by herself. 
She can buy whatever she wants! 
 
She’s back now. What did she get? 
 
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!  
Really? That’s MY favorite! 
 
Thank you, sis! 
YUM!

ARFUR'S FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN (2022, Category: Friendship)

No Mikey.  
No “Here, boy!”  
No “Fetch!” 


Arfur looks out the window. Again. 
He whimpers.  
He circles three times. 
ZZZZZZ 
 
RUMBLE! – CLATTER!
Arfur’s ears twitch.  
Eyes open. 
SCREEEE – SSSSS 
“ARF!”  
Tail wags. 


Mom lets Arfur out.  ​

He runs to the bus stop. 
“Arfur! Race you home!” 
Arfur lets Mikey win.
